FAQs
How do you become an accredited bookkeeper?
Industry Leader AnswerTo become an accredited bookkeeper, you must complete a certificate course and gain work experience. You can also do this the opposite way around, as many people start working in the field without any formal qualifications and then formalise their qualification once they work up to a bookkeeping position.
Bookkeepers can also register to become BAS agents which allow them to prepare and charge for BAS’s, etc. In order to do that you must have a number of hours of experience and minimum level of Certificate 4 in Accounting.
