Course Overview
This qualification is designed for people looking to utilise their interpersonal skills to have a positive impact on those in need of counselling and community based care.
This course will give an in depth understanding of how to use established counselling modalities, communication skills and a variety of other assistive measures both within the Counselling and Community Services Sectors. As the focus on Mental Health and wellbeing grows, as does the need for more qualified and empathetic individuals who can make a real difference in the lives of many.
This dual qualification is designed to set students up for success by qualifying them to work in two interconnecting industries with huge projected future growth.

Duration and Study Load
- This qualification has a maximum duration of 24 months, with the ability to complete in less than the allocated time
Entry Requirements
There are no education entry requirements for this qualification. Student’s must be above the age of 17 to enrol and 18 years of age to complete work placement and complete this qualification. Students under the age of 18 will require a parent or guardians’ permission to enrol.

Work Placement
- 200 hour of work placement required

After achieving this qualification, you may undertake:
- CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management.
Post program:
- Certificate and Transcript (if course is completed)
- Statement of Attainment (if student is found Competent in at least 1 Unit of Competency)
