Start HereIn Victoria, Government Financial Support is available to students who qualify for a subsidy. These Government-subsidised prospects are offered by training providers and RTOs who have a set agreement with the Vic Government, that allows them to offer government subsidised courses. This means that the government will cover some or all of the costs for a course, for eligible students.
Your eligibility to take part in government funded courses in Victoria is subject to many considerations – your qualification will be established by your training provider on enrollment in a specific course.
Some things you need to think about prior to your application for government funding training:
VET Student Loans is an Australian Government loan scheme for the TAFE and Training sector.
VET Student Loans will cover all or a portion of the course costs via a student loan. This can then be paid off by the student once they reach a certain level of income.
The VET Student Loans scheme is available at all Registered Training Organisations that have been given authorisation by the Australian Government.
Centrelink offers a wide range of financial assistance and Centrelink funded courses to students who are carrying out further study. This eligibility depends on a variety of factors. Some of these financial assistance options are:

As announced in the Victorian State Budget 2018-19, the Victorian Government is offering a Free TAFE Scheme for selected courses that will assist in filling industry gaps in Victoria. This free online courses Victoria scheme will be effective from the 1st of January 2019.
